Steady Development with Enhanced Quality and Efficiency; Success in Education and Employment Reach New Heights

 

(Hong Kong SAR, 29 April 2026) – China New Higher Education Group Limited (“New Higher Education” or the “Company”, stock code: 2001.HK) announces the interim results of the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Group”) for the six months ended 28 February 2026.

 

The Group has been upholding the mission of “enabling every student to achieve career success and life fulfillment”, and the vision of “building the most student-oriented university with a century-long vision”. To this end, the Group remains steadfast in the implementation of high-quality development strategy and continues to increase its investment in high-quality development, to deliver “better learning outcomes”, “higher employment quality”, provide “superior service experience”, build “more beautiful campus environment”, forge “stronger professional competitiveness”, and assemble “stronger teaching faculties”. In the past six months, the Group has made solid progress across all fronts with notable results, achieving simultaneous improvements in educational strength, employment quality, teaching outcomes, and campus quality, while continuously enhancing its core competitiveness. The Group’s financial performance remained robust, with operating revenue increasing by 2.6% year-on-year to RMB1.45 billion, and adjusted net profit increasing by 0.8% year-on-year to RMB0.46 billion. Overall, the Group has achieved steady progress with quality improvement.

 

Historic Breakthrough in Education Level: Guizhou School’s Upgrade to Undergraduate-level University

With the official approval of the Ministry of Education, Guizhou Vocational College of Industry and Commerce (the “Guizhou School”), under the Group, has been upgraded to Guizhou Vocational University of Industry and Commerce. The university is one of the five private vocational undergraduate institutions approved by the Ministry of Education during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period and is currently the only private vocational undergraduate institution in Guizhou Province. This milestone marks the Guizhou School’s official entry into undergraduate-level vocational education, making it the first vocational undergraduate university in China to fully implement small-class teaching. It also injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of vocational education in Guizhou and the construction of a digital economy innovation zone.

 

Deepening Industry-Education Integration, Delivering Outstanding High-Quality Employment Outcomes

The Group has maintained a consistently high employment rate and a high proportion of quality employment. As of 31 December 2025, the overall graduate employment placement rate of the Group maintained 95% for six consecutive years, with five out of its eight institutions reaching 99%. The proportion of graduates achieving high-quality employment reached a record high of 54.35%, meaning that one out of every two graduates secured high-quality employment. The number of graduates employed by Fortune Global 500 companies, well-known Central and State-owned Enterprises, and Grade A Tertiary Hospitals increased by 112.94%. The Group has continued to deepen enterprise engagement through proactive outreach to employers, providing targeted and personalized employment services for graduates. Employment service centers have been established in the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Sichuan-Chongqing, and Xinjiang to continuously expand internship and job opportunities. Notably, overseas employment achieved a new breakthrough in 2026, with graduates successfully joining Fortune Global 500 companies in Japan. Through strengthened collaboration and precise services, the Group has not only achieved high-quality graduate employment but also enhanced its employment reputation and brand influence.

 

Deepening the “Student-Centered” Educational Reform and Continuously Enhancing Educational Strength

The Group has been comprehensively advancing the “Student-Centered” teaching reform, engaged Professor Zhao Juming, a globally renowned educational reform expert, as an advisor, to conduct full-coverage training and implement the “New Three-Centers” concept centered on “student development, student learning, and learning outcomes.” Meanwhile, the Group collaborated with the team of Professor Peng Kaiping from the Department of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences at Tsinghua University. Through on-site research, we developed a proprietary Positive Psychology textbook and integrated it into frontline teaching. To precisely align with corporate demands, the Group introduced Stanford’s Design Thinking curriculum and Systematic Inventive Thinking methodologies, effectively enhancing graduates’ employment competitiveness and career adaptability. Remarkable results have been achieved in the development of provincial-level renowned teachers, first-class courses, and characteristic majors. The layout of majors is closely aligned with national strategic industries such as low-altitude economy, artificial intelligence, and the big health industry, constructing a major-group ecosystem led by core majors and characterized by cross-disciplinary integration, resource sharing, and complementary advantages.

 

The Group’s educational strength continues to grow. Multiple teachers have won grand prizes and first prizes in provincial teaching competitions. Across the 84 national college student disciplinary competitions recognized by the Ministry of Education, students from the Group’s schools have obtained 1,034 provincial-level or higher awards, 623 national-level honors, and 85 top prizes, which strongly validates the Group’s educational achievements in “promoting learning through competitions and driving innovation through learning.”

 

Comprehensively Optimizing Experience and Environment, and Significantly Improving the Quality of Education

The Group focuses on the on-campus experience that students care about the most, enhancing the well-being of students and teachers from three aspects. First, the Group has established a full-process early warning and support mechanism for academic performance, diversified further education guidance services, and delivered a warm, targeted learning experience. Second, it has upgraded dormitory services, optimized the smart campus system, and introduced well-known chain merchants to provide high-standard, responsive living services. Third, the Group empowers students with independent development and vitalizes campus vitality by hosting over 700 cultural and sports events as well as more than 150 volunteer service activities. Supported by student-led societies and vibrant campus activities, students’ overall satisfaction and sense of belonging have been steadily enhanced.

 

Committed to building a first-class educational environment, the Group launched the “50-Day Classroom Renovation Initiative” during the winter vacation, addressing 1,551 classroom optimization issues and achieving an overall upgrade of the learning environment. The newly completed Arts Center (Phase III) at Guizhou School has won two international design honors, namely the International Design Awards (IDA) and the World Design Awards (WDA) presented by The Architecture Community Awards (TAC). It marks the first educational building in Southwest China to receive such international accolades.

 

Groundbreaking Progress in ESG: Setting a Benchmark for Industrial Sustainable Development

With systematic efforts and remarkable progress in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, the Group was awarded the “Industry Mover Award”(行業最佳進步企業) in the Industry by S&P Global for the first time in 2026, and has been listed in S&P Global’s “Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition)” for three consecutive years. In the 2025 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, the Group’s ESG score rose to 39, ranking among the top five in our industry globally and No.1 within China. It has established itself as a benchmark for high-quality ESG development in China’s higher education sector.
